Jesus The Hope Of Glory
The title above is crucial to the comfort of any believer who has the assurance that a day is coming when the long-awaited glory of his/ her journey on earth will be crowned.
HOPE is defined as:
(a). To wish for an event that one considers possible
(b). The longing or desire for something accompanied by the belief in the possibility of its occurrence. If hope is defined as an event that you think it will be possible and want to be accomplished.
Glory is then defined as: something that is a source of honour, fame, or admiration, adoring praise, or worshipful thanksgiving. From the above definitions of hope and glory, we can now ask the question what I need to do or who do I need to know before I can achieve my aim of having eternal glory. Which is the greatest hope of a believe
Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 1:13. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming
The above scripture makes it clear that a believer can only hope on Jesus for all that he needs and expect to be accomplished both for the joy on this earth and in the Kingdom of our father.
4 Stages you need pass through to put your Hope on Jesus.
1. You must know Him: Philippians 3:10. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death. If you do not know Christ by giving your life to Him, you will not be able to have access to him nor will you be able to depend on him for the glory he has promised to grant unto those ones who love and do His will…
2. You must believe in Him. John 6:47. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. The greatest hope anyone and especially the believer can eager for is the Hope of eternity. The key to having such hope is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and saviour.
3. You must Focus on Him: Heb 12:2a. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. If you are hoping for something and you aware Jesus is the only person that will make such things happened, then it is paramount to focus all your attention on Him. Distractions could be disastrous, please focus your attention on Jesus himself the hope of Glory.
4. You must obtain His Grace: Eph 2:8. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.
Without the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, you cannot fulfill the no 1-3 above and in turn unable to hope in the Glory promised by Jesus Christ. When we are talking about the glory, The glory itself is to tell you and me that He is coming to take us to where He and the father is which is the most glorious thing that can happen to a person on this earth which is to meet God.
In conclusion: Are you a person that craves glory or a believer looking forward to being accomplished, If you want to be glorified in Him, Jesus is the hope that God has given to us, and all our hope rest upon him. Jesus is the Hope to the sinners and the Glory of heaven is rest Him.
It is a must for a sinner to give their lives totally to Christ in other to have Hope of a glorious future. I am praying and hoping that after reading this blog you will make your way right with your maker and put all your hope on Jesus the Hope of Glory.
